[Eggs and milk are not vegan]
Vegan diet is getting more common in Hong Kong. Many restaurants and KOL like to add the hashtag “#vegan” to their photos. However, some of them may have misunderstood the word vegan.
In Hong Kong, lacto-ovo vegetarians (those who eat eggs and drink milk) is more common, so it’s not too surprising to find people mixing up vegans with them.
Why don’t vegans eat eggs and drink milk? We no longer want to consume milk and eggs when we know there’s a soul of a killed male chick behind each egg, and the story of separated mother cow and baby cow behind each glass of milk.
